Snowsports Education: the six skills of the technical concept

The approach

World-class, candidate-centred instructor training.

My approach to instructor training puts each candidate at the centre of the learning process.

I adapt my coaching to their individual needs, goals, and learning preferences, creating an environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving.

By combining clear learning objectives, practical experimentation, and individual feedback, I help candidates develop the understanding, skills, and confidence they need to become more effective instructors.

What I offer

On-Snow Training

Technical development for ski instructors and instructor teams, from refining fundamental skills to exploring high-performance skiing and demonstration-level technique.

Exam Preparation

Lectures & Webinars

Exploring skiing biomechanics, technical concepts, movement analysis, and modern teaching methodology through engaging presentations and discussions, in person or online.

Demo Team Coaching

Preparing demonstration teams for technical presentations, congresses, and shows, with a focus on technical consistency, synchronization, and clear demonstrations.

How it works

  1. Let's discuss your goals

We agree on the topics, format, and learning objectives based on your needs, experience, and interests.

  2. Learn, explore, experiment

Through practical training, discussion, and feedback, we explore new ideas and develop your skiing and teaching.

  3. Reflect and follow up

We review key takeaways and identify what to work on next. If useful, we can follow up later to discuss progress, revisit questions, and build on what you've learned.

FAQ

A few things to know

What types of training do you offer?

I work with ski instructors, trainer teams, and snowsports associations on technical development, teaching methodology, and professional education. This can include on-snow clinics, trainer development, exam preparation, lectures, webinars, and demo team coaching. The format depends on your goals, your team, and what you want to achieve.

Can you tailor the training to our team's needs?

Absolutely. Every team and organization has different priorities, standards, and challenges. We'll discuss your objectives, the experience of your participants, and the areas you'd like to develop. From there, I'll propose a program with clear learning objectives, practical exploration, and feedback tailored to your team.

Can you examine or assess instructors for our association?

Yes, within your association's own qualification and licensing system. We'll agree on the assessment criteria, expectations, and format in advance to ensure the process aligns with your standards and requirements.

Do you work with associations outside Europe? Can you deliver training online or on indoor slopes?

Yes. Depending on the topic and objectives, I offer online lectures and webinars, as well as practical training on indoor slopes. Online formats work particularly well for technical discussions, biomechanics, and teaching methodology, while indoor slopes provide a controlled environment for technical development and exam preparation.

Do you work with organizations internationally?

Yes. I work with ski schools and snowsports associations in Europe, North America, and elsewhere. I'm based in Aspen, Colorado, for most of the winter and travel for projects during the spring and autumn. Training can take place at your resort, on an indoor slope, or online, depending on the project.
